one of the best books on the subject matter

Concise and precise, a great read on an otherwise poorly understood subject matter. This book is by far one of the most accurate writings i have read on hyperhidrosis and surely wish i had access to it prior to undergoing my sympathectomy. I too (like the first reviewer) underwent the endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy for palmar and axillary hyperhidrosis and although there is a presence of compensatory hyperhidrosis post-op, i personally feel the intended results outweighed the side effects but thats personal opinion. Im not saying that i wouldnt have underwent the procedure had i read the book prior to undergoing surgery but i surely would have been more informed about the alternate treatment options available.

In reply to the previous reviewer, i feel that the drug therapy and other treatment options are individual contingent in terms of success as there are so many varying degrees to measure "success" when addressing a poorly understood condition via experimental treatment methods. Surely read this book if your are considering any of the more popular treatment options out there, but dont expect an affirmative answer as to whether the treatment you're considering will be boon or bane for your personal case.
